
「コンタクト・インプロビゼーション」この名前の意味が、広くも狭くも捉えられる自由こそ、このダンスの寛容さだと私は思います。コンタクトを肌の接触・重さのやりとり、と捉えることで、厳しくも愉快な法則がこのダンスの特徴になりました。一方、コンタクトは関係性だ、と広げると触れ合わなくても、さらには関わらないという関係性さえも含めることが出来ます。触れ合う・触れ合わないだけが大きな問題ではないのは言わずもがなで、とにかく素敵でマジカル、ミステリアスかつ永遠に尽きない・飽きないインプロビゼーションを踊りたい、が私の目指すところ。どちらでも良いのです、触れても触れなくても。触れた上で触れない選択も。
今回のi-Dance Japan 2025は、今までになく日本人アーティストの比重が大きいのですが、国際フェスティバルにおいて、日本的CIのお披露目が、一つの目標になりました。それぞれのアーティストが、この国際フェスティバルにふさわしい題材を選んでくれました。自分にとってのCIを再考し、テーマを掘り下げ純度をあげて臨みます。未だかつて体験したことの無いアプローチに出会うかも知れません。お楽しみに!
After 50 years of CI, it is time for the individuality and uniqueness of Asian artists to be noticed. It has been about 30 years since CI, cultivated in the West, was introduced to Japan. Due to differences in physicality, spirituality, culture, lifestyle, etc., I believe that the pursuit of Japanese CI actually began from the beginning of its import.
"Contact Improvisation"I believe that the freedom to interpret the meaning of this name broadly or narrowly is the tolerance of this dance. By considering contact as the contact of skin and the exchange of weight, strict but amusing rules became the characteristic of this dance. On the other hand, if we expand the definition to include contact as a relationship, it can include relationships where there is no contact, and even no involvement.It goes without saying that contact or not touching is not the only big issue, and my goal is to dance a wonderful, magical, mysterious, and eternally endless improvisation that never gets boring. Either way is fine, whether you touch or not. You can also choose not to touch after touching.
This year's i-Dance Japan 2025 will have a larger proportion of Japanese artists than ever before, and one of our goals has been to unveil a Japanese-style CI at an international festival. Each artist has chosen a theme that is appropriate for this international festival. They will reconsider their own CI, delve deeper into the theme, and increase the purity of their work. You may encounter an approach you have never experienced before. Please look forward to it!
2013年から隔年開催で7回目となるi-Dance Japan2025
今回は3パートに分けてご提案してきます。
全篇にわたる今回のテーマは、“LIFE”
各パートは独特のメニューで構成し、即興ダンスと生き方・生活の結びつきを発見・探究・共有・表現へ繋げていこうと考えています。ダンスや音楽は、人間を取り巻く自然界と相性が良いはずです。会場となる屋久島や十曽の環境は険しすぎず優しすぎず、程よく私たちを育んでくれるでしょう。コンタクト・インプロビゼーションを軸に、自然を受け取り、自然に返し、相互に交流するとき、すぐ隣にいる仲間とのコラボレーションは、新しく懐かしくチャレンジと驚きの連続。それぞれの人の次のステージが、健康的で芸術的、心豊かな楽しさに満ちていることを願いつつ、iDJのアーティストとスタッフは、アートや生活のクリエイティブなサポートをします。

i-Dance Japan 2025 will be the 7th event, held every two years since 2013.
This time, we will propose it in three parts.
The theme of this event is "LIFE".
Each part will be composed of a unique menu, and we plan to discover, explore, share, and express the connection between improvisational dance and lifestyle and living.
Dance and music should be compatible with the natural world that surrounds humans.The environment of Yakushima and Juso, where the event will be held, is neither too harsh nor too gentle, and will nurture us in moderation. With contact improvisation as the core, when we receive nature, return it to nature, and interact with each other, collaboration with friends right next to us will be new and nostalgic, a series of challenges and surprises.iDJ artists and staff will provide creative support for art and life, hoping that each person's next stage will be healthy, artistic, and full of spiritual joy.
